I had my 15 week doctor's appointment yesterday. I convinced the doctor that I needed an ultrasound to make sure some minor first trimester issues had been resolved. These issues were really not that great of a concern but I saw my opportunity to see live pictures of my baby and I jumped on it. I'm so sneaky that way.
My doctor asked me if she could tell the sex of the baby, would I want to know. "Of course!" Generally, 15 weeks is too early to tell but after a quick glance things were looking very boyish! The doctor said not to run out and buy all blue just yet. There is still a chance that this glimpse of manhood could have been just umbilical cord. Still, judging from the few Ultrasound pictures I received, I am pretty convinced that it's a little guy. Can't help but be a little excited as this will even things out for us. 2 boys, 2 girls.
As a funny side note, when the doctor first placed the scanner on my belly and we got our first pictures of baby, you could see the little guy immediately move his hand from up near his face, down to cover his private area. The nurse, doctor and I busted out laughing. Apparently, he knew exactly what we were looking for and he's shy. :)
